“Mecia has been dancing since the age of 3. Trained professionally and worked in the industry for over a decade, which involved performing in various shows abroad, touring the UK and even danced the London 2012 Olympics opening ceremony.
As a professionally trained dancer, movement in all forms, wellness and fitness of the body and mind is her true passion. Yoga was a natural progression from dance as it aided in building strength and flexibility. Mecia is trained in a variety of dance disciplines, teaching group and private 1-2-1 classes and has taught over 90 couples their first wedding dance to date!
Yoga-wise, she teaches power vinyasa flow, specialising in pregnancy and post-natal not long before becoming a Mum two years ago to a beautiful little boy. She has been practicing yoga for some time now and feels privileged to be able to share her passion with others. Currently, she offers a variety of studio classes which are positive, energetic and flowing. All levels and bodies welcome.
BalletBums – a ballet inspired hiit workout for the whole body. Perfect if looking to tone up, work on strength, flexibility and coordination. The class is broken down into short exercises and you don’t need to have previous dance experience. Classes come in two styles: 1) BalletBums Tone, dancing in bare feet with no jumping, focusing on strength and stamina. 2) BalletBums Sweat, dancing in trainers for a more high energy fitness class.
Yoga – power vinyasa flow, her style is often labelled as “Graceful warrior”. Mecia’s classes are fluid, strong yet playful drawing from her dance background. Explores breathwork and often use of props. Classes are suitable for ALL levels – yes this does include absolute beginners!“
