As an ex professional dancer and a certified yoga breathwork and mediation teacher I have always tried to keep my body strong. My dancing career ended in 1995 due to a back injury but opened the door to understanding the anatomy of the body more and how intelligent it is when rehabilitating and aligning through correct functional movement. Pilates has been an integral part of my life for over 30 years and being able to maintain my flexibility, mobility and strength whilst being kinder to the joints keeps the spring in my step.
I completed my Pilates matwork level 3 training in London in May with the wonderful Body Control Pilates. It has enhanced my teaching in many ways, but ultimately it is wonderful being able to share my knowledge and the amazing benefits of a truly transformative form of exercise.
In my classes, I take care and pride in making everyone feel welcome and at ease. To assist in your journey to not only facilitate body awareness but also the beautiful affect it has on the mind and soul.
All this achieved with clear instruction and a big dose of humour!!
